Job Responsibilities
  • Execute selling of Bingo cards, using up-selling techniques.
  • Perform meet and greet functions in the lobby/atrium during Guest embarkation and disembarkation.
  • Perform meet and greet functions in front of Walt Disney Theatre at thestart and conclusion of events within the theatre; provide help to Guestsneeding special assistance, as needed.
  • Assist with 'show stops' in the Walt Disney Theatre, as directed.
  • Host activities, games and/or trivia contests during televised sporting events.
  • Assist in recreational activities on Castaway Cay as scheduled;activities may include, but are not limited to: acting as the host at islandgame pavilion, assisting with boat, snorkel, bicycle, float or tube rentals,snorkel instruction, and beach clean-up.
  • Assist in maintaining appropriate Guest flow in all areas onboard,informing Guests of other onboard activities to ensure adequate Guestparticipation; encourage program participation for all age groups.
  • Provide an emotionally and physically safe environment for children andguests of all ages.
  • Conduct required sanitizing procedures based on USPH requirementswhen associated with appropriate programs and events.
  • Facilitate dance parties; teach Guests various line dances.
  • Assist with dispatch of Port Adventures– meet Guests at assigneddebark venue, spiel important excursion information, collect tickets andwaivers and escort Guests to meet appropriate vendor; escort Guestsas the Disney quality representative, as scheduled.
  • Assist in the facilitation of Crew events as needed.
  • Follow scripts, but also ad lib, as necessary.
  • Perform abbreviated shows as necessary based on weather conditions,safety issues, and/or Entertainment Management decisions.
  • Report costume, technical, and maintenance needs.
  • Prepare and strike programs ensuring proper clean-up, inventoryprogram consumables, maintain costumes and cleanliness and order forprogram storage spaces.

Required/Desired: Experience,Qualifications, Education, Licenses

  • Minimum two years' experience working within a position thatdemonstrates hosting experience, stage experience and publicspeaking skills including but not limited to: Entertainment,Resort/Recreational, Camp, Performing Arts.
  • Exceptional presentation, communication and organizational skills.
  • Relates well to audiences of all ages and demographics while offering apassion for engaging an audience in entertaining program and event.
